When couples seek help

Couples come to us at every stage: newly married and struggling to get started, busy parents who have lost touch, long-term partners in a sexless marriage, and couples recovering from conflict or betrayal. What they share is a wish to feel close again, and uncertainty about how.

• Different levels of desire that turn into a painful chase-and-avoid pattern
• Unspoken resentment about workload, family or money
• Sexual difficulties such as ED, PE, pain or low desire that neither partner knows how to discuss
• Stress and exhaustion that leave nothing for each other
• Family pressure, including joint-family living, in-laws and pressure to conceive

What sessions look like

Sessions are a guided conversation. We help each of you say what you feel and need, understand the pattern between you, and practise new ways of relating. We may suggest simple exercises at home, such as scheduled connection time and sensate focus, so change happens between sessions too.
